New England Model Engineering Society—This is a group of over 150 members with a common interest in mechanical things and machining. They meet monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham MA. The meetings include a featured speaker and a time for members to "show and tell" about their work. They publish a monthly newsletter and hold an annual show for the public on the third Saturday in February. They also organize charter bus trips to model shows and often have field trips to a member's shop or other place of interest. There are organized Saturday seminars and arranged group purchases of material to save money. Anyone with an interest in the mechanical world is welcome to join. CLICK HERE TO GO TO LINK
